TRACE Instrument EMC Test Notes

After completion of the "ion" procedure, the following procedures are required to run EMC tests:

To run the EMC-Suseptibility test, RE03
-- --- --- ----------------- ----  ----

  1. execute the start_emisus_test" procedure. This procedure will setup
the decontamination heater duty cycle and initiate a sequence to take
images every 5 seconds. 

  2. Periodically, during the test, execute the "dump_emisus" procedure. 
This dumps a test pattern and memory self test data to the chronological
buffer.

  3. If desired, execute the procedure "emi_s_3" to cycle the ops heaters.
This procedure remains active until 'GOTO OUT' is sent by the TC

The dump_emisus procedure can be run during this period, however care must be take to start this proc at a point during "emi_s_3" when the heater is OFF (there is a 25 second wait prior to repeating the loop and turning the heater back on).

  3. At the end of test, execute the procedure, stop_emisus_test. This
will power off the decontamination heaters, stop the sequence and downlink
the data.


To run the EMC-emmissions test, RE02, RE04

  1. Execute the "start_emiemm_test" procedure. This procedure will setup
the decontamination heater duty cycle and initiate a sequence to take
images every 5 seconds. 

  2. If desired, execute the emi_e_3 procedure. This runs the ops heaters.
This procedure will remain active until 'GOTO OUT' is sent by the TC.

  3. At the end of test, execute the procedure, stop_emiemm_test. This
will power off the decontamination heaters and stops the sequence.
